On a hot sunny Saturday afternoon, Chesterfords entertained South Loughton 2nds at The Rec in a HECL division three match. Having won the toss, Chesterfords put South Loughton into bat.  With some early pressure from Chesterfords’ opening bowlers Ton Thake(0-21) and R Taylor(1-19), South Loughton made slow progress, and with Taylor dismissing Hassan with a well taken caught and bowled, Chesterfords were looking to pile on the pressure. more

On a baking hot day Chesterfords made the trip to the picturesque Great Canfield looking for their second win over them this season. On winning the toss Chesterfords batted first and got off to a solid start with openers S Thake (35) and R Laird (32) putting on 62 for the first wicket. At number three L Woodcock (15) played some good looking strokes before being caught. more
