Dave is a Chesterford Cricketing legend and has been the heart of the cricket club for the last 20 years. Initially joining the club as a fast bowler, with age and maturity he has developed into the most consistent run scorer for the club in the last 5 years. Dave is the Saturday vice captain, and was the last club colts secretary. He is a passionate lover of cricket, sometimes a little too passionate, but when he is unavailable to play he is always supporting the team. David is currently one of the club selectors.

Dave has engineered himself into being the lynch pin of the Chesterfords batting line up, normally heading up the middle order, he is a powerful batsman wielding his 3 ½ pound bat effortlessly. He has several club hundreds to his name and has been the leading run scorer for the last 4 years. In the 2004 season he won the batting averages and the bowling averages. A true all rounder.

David's bowling, although considerably slower than it once was, is ever accurate and he has the ability to swing the ball and move it off the seam. David has been the leagues leaded wicket taker several times, as well as taking many five wicket hauls for the club. David is a solid fielder, often fielding at mid off or midwicket.
