  Comments:

A promising young player as a colt, unfortunately James’s Chesterford cricket career has been hampered by a series of back problems, although he has had surgery on it to resolve this, he has not yet come back to playing regularly. He currently holds the clubs 7th wicket record partnership but since then his appearances have been few and far between. The 2007 season saw James return to playing cricket more regularly and he dominated the batting averages picking up the Saturday Batting trophy.

James is a stylish aggressive middle order batsman, who mostly fills the number 3 position. He is capable of scoring quickly, although he is also capable of self destructing, but on his day he is one of the clubs best batsmen.

An intelligent medium pace bowler, James likes to mix his bowling up a bit and confuse batsmen. In the 2004 season he was the only bowler to take a 5 wicket haul. He is also a very good wicket keeper, and it is always a tough decision for the captain as to whether to use James as a bowler or a keeper.
