Wazz joined Chesterfords in 1999 from Little Hallingbury cricket club. He has fast become a key member of the club and was appointed Sunday captain for the 2005 and 2006 seasons and is currently vice Captain of the Saturday league team. Wazz started playing cricket for Bishops Stortford College, and went on to represent and captain the

University of Liverpool cricket club. In the 2004 season, he was the most capped player, and won the fielding award in 2004 and 2006. In 2005 he went on to win the Sunday batting trophy as well as becoming the first player for 15 years to score 1000 runs in a season. He is involved in the coaching setup for the colts, and is a club selector. As a batsman, Wazz is something of a wildcard, he is a very aggressive stroke player who can devastate a bowling attack with his ability to hit the ball over the boundary rope in all directions, but is often prone to lapses in concentration. He has the ability to score large scores quickly, but equally could get out without scoring. He has a 12 scoring shot half century and a 27 scoring shot century to his name. After recovering from knee and shoulder surgery, 2007 saw Wazz return to bowling. After a shaky start he went on to cement his position as an opening bowler collecting the Sunday bowling trophy. As a fielder, Wazz is often used in the covers or at point where he likes to throw himself around, and seldom comes off the pitch with a clean pair of whites on. He has a very safe pair of hands and took the most catches in the 2004 2005 and 2006 seasons.
